WARNINGS
This character journal contains major plot spoilers for Final Fantasy XVI. Do not tag this character or continue reading if you don't wish to be spoiled.

BASIC INFO
Sleipnir Harbard, Lord Commander of the Knights of the Royal Waloeder Army, has served King Barnabas for the better part of a decade. Intriguingly, however, there are no records of a House Harbard ever existing in either Veldermarke or on the southern continent, begging the question: whence exactly does he hail?

The truth, of course, is that he is not what he seems on the surface. Though Sleipnir appears in every respect a man like all other men — haughty, callous, at times charmingly servile, other times ruthless and somewhat reckless — he is, in fact, no mortal. Barnabas's right-hand-man and loyal Lord Commander is merely a magical creation, no different from a carbuncle or some other summoned familiar. But a mere egi would have no need of a face, a personality, a background, a heart — thus prompting an entirely different question: if this man never existed, then why is he so human?

PLATONIC CONTACT
Touching him is perfectly fine — with the caveat that he won't be able to hide a certain degree of faint revulsion, and will try his damnedest to get out of your character's range immediately. Funnily enough, he's fine with initiating contact, so he's just a little bit of a contrary prick.

SHIPPING
Sleipnir is not capable of romantic love. He'll flirt with almost anybody, but he'll never reciprocate your feelings in a way that matters.

SMUT
Let's talk this one out. Sleipnir is probably quite capable of manipulating people through sex if the situation warrants it and there's somehow no other way for him to get what he wants, but generally speaking, the answer to this will be no unless we've gone through significant relationship development and plotting. He's vers with a slight lean towards dom top, but I'd need a reason to write him that way.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE
Yes, absolutely. He loves the thrill of a good duel to the death, and is exceedingly skilled with the sword and the spear.

MINDREADING
Sure. He doesn't actually have that much to hide.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS
It's almost impossible to get under his skin. He's probably the one offending you, in all honesty.

BACKTAGGING
No problem. I tend to drop threads whenever I think the conversation is winding down, though — always feel free to poke me into continuing a thread again if you had something planned.

THREADJACKING
Always cool with me.

FOURTHWALLING
I really don't care.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS
None in particular.

PREFERRED THREADS
At the moment, I'm open to anything! I realize that Sleipnir is a character who appeared in maybe four scenes at best, but I'm obsessed with him anyway, so I'm more than happy to plan scenarios and AUs where our characters could interact. Throw me whatever you can think up, and I'll roll with it. I'm not married to Sleipnir being a villain, to be honest — he's quite flexible as long as he has a particular cause to serve, so I think it'd be pretty hilarious to AU him as a hero with the exact same awful personality.

For Barnabas: I really do like the master and servant relationship they have in canon, and I'd be happy to flesh it out! I have a lot of thoughts about Sleipnir being designed as a replacement for Cid, but I'm equally fine with him being Barnabas's carbuncle, confidante, and/or clown. I'm not that interested in shipping them, however, so I will not be playing him as his king's lover. I have this brainrot headcanon that Sleipnir could be based on Barnabas's brother or some other dead best friend; this is partly because I like the idea of Barnabas and Sleipnir being evil equivalents to Clive and Joshua, but I digress.

For characters that are not Barnabas: I'm happy to do anything canon-compliant. Sleipnir and Benedikta probably have great catty conversations. I'm also quite happy to automatically run with a scenario where Clive discovers that Sleipnir's loyalty is actually attached to Odin, not Barnabas... thus he simply has to deal with a sassy little twink hanging around in his hideaway. Other characters may express their displeasure — or their curiosity — with Clive's new servant at their leisure.

I'm very open to cross-canon, especially for other Final Fantasy characters. Please, by all means, let him drink tea at the silver-haired Final Fantasy antagonists' social.

OTHER
I am generally a slow RPer, as a word of warning. Expect me to take anywhere between 1 — 21 days for a tag. I prefer longer tags as a result.
